A rare occurrence...

Caden is taking piano lessons and has been trying to very patiently teach Eli what he learns each week. Although, I have to admit, Eli is not a very good student. Anyway, here was one moment that I caught when they were actually getting along and working together....

Super Bowl

So I just realized that i had not put any pictures up from our recent trip down to Miami for the Super Bowl. Jerome, Millie & I made the trip while Mom & Dad kept the boys (thank you!). We had a GREAT time even though the Colts didn't win. We met a group of friends there and just people watched all weekend. Jerome went to the game and Millie hung out in the hotel and watched it on TV!

In the bumbo seat...2 months old

Millie spent some time today in her bumbo seat thingy that Ginger loaned me. Surprisingly she loved it, and was all smiles! Can't believe she is 2 months old already. Her biggest accomplishment lately is that she slept THRU the night last night..I mean like almost 12 hours, which is AWESOME!

The boys...

Yep, they are still here...even though they haven't been getting much blog love lately. They are doing great..still loving their sister A LOT. Caden will tell me daily..."I just love her SO MUCH"

Millie...1 month

I can't believe it, but Millie is already 1 month old. Whew, having a December baby is rough...I should know since I have done it twice now. It's like things never slow down and your life is in constant crazy mode for the first few weeks. So anyway, I am very happy to have things slow down a bit around here. The boys are back to preschool, which is always nice and I am finally enjoying some quiet days with Millie.

We had her 1 month check up today and my suspicions were confirmed...she is a chunk! She weighed in at 9lbs, 8oz...which is up 3lbs since her last appt 3 weeks ago. She went from less than 10th percentile to 55th percentile in weight in 3 weeks. I seriously don't know what I will do if I actually have a "good eater" for a child! She is still up a lot at night, but I am starting to get at least one 4-5 hour span of sleep from her. The pediatrician seemed very happy/surprised by this...which was a little discouraging to me...I thought she might be sleeping thru the night by now! lol

Here is a picture from bathtime, which is NOT one of her (or my) favorite times. Trying to bathe a newborn with a 4 and 5 year old hovering over you the entire time is just not fun for anyone. I think I have set a record with how fast I can get in and out of that tub...and almost every time at least 2 out 3 kids end up crying!

Christmas Morning!

We have had so much fun this year getting ready for Christmas! I think the boys are finally old enough to "get it" and they were so excited for the big morning. The week before Christmas we made gingerbread houses, made birthday cupcakes for Jesus, sprinkled reindeer food in the front lawn, went candlelight Christmas service at church and I am sure more that I am forgetting. Point is, we were READY for Christmas morning! The boys were bouncing off the walls all day on Christmas Eve and were even more excited after Santa snuck in while they were gone and left some Christmas PJ's under the tree for them to wear to bed that night.

So now, just three short hours after we got up this morning the boys are playing nicely with their new toys and Daddy is feverishly trying to put everything together for them. He has just started the wii so I am sure the rest of our day will be consumed by us sitting there trying to teach them how to play the games. Millie was great on Christmas morning too, and mostly slept thru all the commotion. Jerome has been joking that all Millie wants for Christmas is a wipe warmer, because she hates having her diaper changed w/ cold wipes. I mentioned this to a friend and neighbor and she promptly bought Princess Millie a wipe warmer...so now even she will be a happy little girl tonight! :)

We hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas morning. We are feeling truly blessed to have our little family so happy and healthy this morning.
